Kristie Stremel

Vocalist/songwriter Kristie Stremel comes from the city of Hays, KS, and originally experienced music via taking part in Johnny Cash tunes with her dad (who also played acoustic guitar), aswell to be inspired after getting an area Joan Jett concert. Soon thereafter, at age 15, Stremel created her first garage area music group. After relocating to Kansas Town, Stremel started playing single acoustic units that contains fifty percent originals and fifty percent addresses. She was asked to become listed on alt-rockers Frogpond in the past due ’90s, contributing tempo acoustic guitar and vocals with their 1996 debut recording on Columbia Tri Celebrity, Count number to Ten (that was made by Everclear’s Artwork Alexakis). A 12 months later Stremel remaining the group, created the energy pop trio Leave 159, and released an EP and full-length prior to the group split in 2000. She came back to the studio room right away, documenting The Detour EP with guitarist Chris Meck. In the springtime of 2001, Stremel released her full-length single debut, the country-tinged All I MUST SAY I Want, around the Slewfoot label (made by Lou Whitney).
