Krisanthi Pappas

Krisanthi Pappas is one of the great jazz singers who’ve made the brand new Britain area their jazz foundation through the 1980’s and 1990’s. Having researched fundamental music, theory, education and tone of voice and piano at such renowned organizations as Boston Conservatory of Music, Berklee University of Music and Princeton College or university, Pappas began carrying out in community theaters within the 1970’s. Her 1st professional gig was at a Brockton supper golf club singing easy hearing and show music. From the first 1980’s to 1996 she and her “Moondance” music group have performed through the entire USA and in the Caribbean in resorts, celebrations and on cruise lines. Following a change of her carrying out focus from rock and roll/pop to cabaret and jazz Pappas began performing frequently at Boston’s Schullers Jazz Golf club with Cambridge’s Regattabar Golf club. In 1997 she documented her first recording, a tribute to George Gershwin for Magnetic Music. This launch establishes her as an exuberant and delicate interpreter of the traditional music of George and Ira Gershwin. The recording also cause her song composing skills. Pappas proceeds to execute at clubs around Boston with jazz and blues celebrations where she’s opened up for Chuck Magione. She functions regularly using the John Payne Music group, spends winters carrying out around the Caribbean isle of Nevis and provides personal lessons in music theory, tone of voice and piano.
