Brighton-based Kovak make catchy, ’80s-style fresh wave and dance-pop influenced by such icons from the genre as Blondie, Eurythmics, and Madonna. Created in Brighton around 2009, the group experienced several lineup adjustments before buying the primary trio of Belgian-born vocalist Annelies Vehicle de Velde, guitarist Karl Bray, and drummer Darren Bray. Following the launch of their 2009 debut, Heroes & HIGH HEEL SHOES, Kovak began creating a solid local pursuing.
