He later on shifted to Moscow for research in the Tchaikovsky Conservatory where he was mentored by his main instructor there, Lev Naumov. He steadily constructed his profession in the previous Soviet Union, after that made his 1st important appearance overseas in the 1990 Asolo (Italy) Chamber Music Event, where he offered four recitals within the full solo piano result of Rachmaninov. In 1992 he and his family members relocated to Switzerland and thereafter his profession had a fairly meteoric rise. EMI released Scherbakov via its Debut Series inside a disk of Johann Strauss II waltz paraphrases by Reger, Tausig, Rosenthal, Cziffra, while others. Naxos authorized him and his 1st documenting, the Transcendental Etudes by Liapunov, premiered in 1994 on that label’s sister business Marco Polo. He also started regularly conducting expert classes in pianism and showing up like a jury member for different prestigious piano contests. In 2003 Scherbakov designated the 20th wedding anniversary of his triumph in the Rachmaninov Competition giving four recitals that once again protected the composer’s comprehensive solo result.
