Komeda

Named honoring Krzysztof Komeda, the past due jazz musican/film composer most widely known for his use Roman Polanski and Ingmar Bergman, the Swedish kitsch-pop outfit Komeda started in 1991 as the pit group to get a Buster Keaton festival. Some other festival shows implemented, using the quartet — made up of vocalist Lena Karlsson, guitarist Mattias Nordlander, bassist Marcus Holmberg and Holmberg’s sibling Jonas on drums — frequently renaming themselves Projektor 7 because of their cinema-related function. In 1993, they released their debut record Pop På Svenska, that they implemented with the program 714 Right up until Komeda EP 2 yrs afterwards. The full-length The Genius of Komeda found its way to 1996, using what Makes It Move? appearing 2 yrs later. Komeda obtained even more acclaim with the look of them on 2000’s Heroes and Villains, the soundtrack to Toon Network’s well-known Powerpuff Women series, and the next year noticed a burst of activity through the music group, including reissues of Pop På Svenska and Program 714 Right up until Komeda on Minty Refreshing. Nordlander departed the group prior to the discharge of their 4th record Kokomemedada, which arrived in European countries in 2003 and was released in the U.S. in 2004.
