Kolkheti Ensemble

The music and dance traditions of Soviet Georgia have already been preserved with the performances and recordings from the Kolkheti Outfit. Attracting interest since 1987, if they earned first prize within an worldwide celebration of folklore in Austria, the Shavtvala Gogona-led group showcases the variety of Georgian lifestyle. Furthermore to performing traditional tracks, the ensemble shows a mastery of traditional dances including heroic tiptoe man dances, virtuoso warrior dances, and elegant women’s dances.
