Biography
Koffi Olomide began his profession like a guitarist, but joined up with Papa Wemba’s Viva la Musica like a backing vocalist. He proceeded to go solo within the middle-’80s, shifting to Paris and utilizing both Parisian and Cameroonian soukous music artists, with positive results. His so-called “Tcha Tcho” defeat sometimes appears by some as a fresh direction to get a genre ageing and stale.
