Knife within the Drinking water emerged from your thriving Austin picture in 1997, showcasing an audio influenced equally by indie, ambient pop, and skewed Americana. Led with the vocals and electric guitar of Aaron Blount, the music group also included vocalist/keyboardist Laura Krause, pedal metal player Costs McCullough, bassist Tag Nathan, and drummer Cisco Ryder. The self-released Has One Sound among others made an appearance in 1998; it appreciated a strong regional response and was a crucial favorite. The music group headed from tour, rendering it completely to NEW YORK along the way. Red River implemented from Overcoat 2 yrs afterwards, and garnered a lot more press using its even more focused, yet believe it or not morose sound. Travels with works like Calexico implemented, as well as the German label Glitterhouse found River for wider distribution. Austin indie Peek-A-Boo used the cause following, providing the full-length Reserve of Spells in 2000 as well as the Crosspross Bells EP 2 yrs later. Knife within the Drinking water continuing to tour and/or play displays with types like Archer Prewitt, and in addition made their annual performances at Austin’s South by Southwest. In August 2003, Blade reissued its first two albums, remastered and filled with reward tracks and brand-new artwork, on Aspyr Press. Aspyr also released the Slice the Wire LP, which Glitterhouse experienced issued for European countries only the prior May.
