Klécius Caldas

Starting to compose music in the ’40s, Klecius Caldas’ first tune to attain popularity was “O Velho Club,” released by Francisco Alves on the Rádio Nacional and documented later on by Helena de Lima. His samba-canção “Somos Dois” (with Armando Cavalcanti/Luiz Antônio), the to begin his songs to become documented, became popular in 1948 with Dick Farney’s rendition. The tune motivated the realization from the eponymous film (1950), compiled by Nelson Rodrigues and starring Dick Farney and a soundtrack compiled by Caldas and his collaborators. In 1949, Francisco Alves documented with achievement his samba “Palavras Amigas” (with Armando Cavalcanti). His strikes from the ’50s (often with Cavalcanti) in the baião genre had been “Sertão de Jequié” (documented by Dalva de Oliveira) and “Boiadeiro” (documented by Luiz Gonzaga). The duo also acquired achievement with Carnaval musics like “Marcha perform Gago” (documented in 1950 by Oscarito), “Papai Advertisementão,” and “Maria Candelária” (documented by Black-Out, respectively, in 1951 and 1952), “Máscara da Encounter” (1953, documented by Dircinha Batista), and “Piada de Salão” (which gained a Carnival competition, having been documented by Black-Out in 1954, who also documented “Maria Escandalosa” another year; this tune would also end up being documented by Maria Bethânia 2 decades later on). The duo also experienced achievement in 1956 using the samba “Neste Mesmo Lugar” and in 1960, with “Sua Majestade O Neném.” Additional Carnival strikes in the ’60s had been “A Letra Jota” (1961), “Marcha perform Paredão” (1962), and “A Lua é Camarada” (1963).
