King Uszniewicz

From 1969 to 1979, Ernie “King” Uszniewicz (given birth to 1945) fronted a hilariously inept Detroit bowling alley/lounge band, King Uszniewicz & the U-Tones. The crudest tenor saxophonist in the annals of rock and roll & roll, Ruler Uszniewicz (pronounced “you-snev-vitch”) & the U-Tones, or Uszniewicztones, experienced only one solitary, issued on an area label through the ’70s. Dubbed by one critic as “the most severe oldies music group I have you ever heard in my existence,” they used a bludgeoning energy, oblivious to the actual fact that these were woefully timid within the skill department. However, once the group’s 1st album arrived on several university radio playlists in 1989, they gained a cult pursuing among both record enthusiasts and young option music fans.
