Created in 2008 by fellow Glaswegians Alan Nimmo (vocals, guitar), Lindsay Coulson (bass), Dave Raeburn (drums), and Dale Storr (keyboards), Ruler Ruler spent their 1st couple of years touring the blues circuit in the U.K., but an extraordinary live show in the Monahan Blues Event this year 2010 propelled these to a fresh level. The next year, the music group had documented and released their debut recording, Take My Hands. Receiving reviews that are positive from your press and their increasing group of fans, the recording also gained the four-piece the English Blues Award for Greatest Album. Continuing to consider their effective live show on the highway for another year or two, the group came back using their sophomore recording in 2013. Standing up in the Shadows — which right now presented Wayne Proctor on drums and Bennett Holland on secrets — noticed the band’s profile increase a lot more, with gigs to arrive from throughout the world, including a 34-day tour starting for English blues story John Mayall. With Holland departing the music group and being changed by Bob Fridzema, the four-piece go about composing their third record, 2015’s Achieving for the Light. Released in the Might, the record again received reviews that are positive through the press and made an appearance in end-of-year lists for Traditional Rock as well as the Blues journals. Touring to get the discharge, the group going from a headline U.K. tour using their hometown gig captured for posterity in the 2016 discharge Live.
