Kina Grannis

Pop/rock and roll songwriter Kina Grannis began exploring music while a kid in Objective Viejo, California. After spending her more youthful years performing before her stuffed pets and performing with her sisters, Grannis found out her aunt’s acoustic guitar at age group 15. She received her personal guitar the next 12 months and spent per month honing her songwriting abilities, taking impact from famous brands Jason Mraz and Vertical Horizon. Her songwriting attempts continued in the University or college of Southern California, where she was chosen from the Thornton College of Music to make a six-song EP during her sophomore 12 months. The ensuing EP, Sincerely, Me., premiered in 2005. 2 yrs later, she documented a tune for Rachael Lawrence and Deborah Ellen that became seriously featured in a number of shows of General Medical center. After graduating from USC, Grannis relocated to Austin, Tx, to sing and record using a music group. She also started uploading her shows to YouTube, which helped her earn a Super Dish competition in 2008. A agreement with Interscope Information implemented, but Grannis came back to indie position quickly thereafter without launching anything in the label. Rather, she self-released her initial full-length record, Stairwells, in Feb 2010, breaking the Billboard 200 along the way. She spent another 2 yrs touring to get the album, halting everywhere from United kingdom Columbia and NEW YORK to European countries and Asia. Her sophomore outing, Components, was made by Matt Hales (aka Aqualung) and released in early 2014.
