John Belew and Christian Void formed Getting rid of Flooring in 1989. Originally, they utilized only examples over hard digital beats, however the duo ultimately added guitarist Marc Phillips in 1991 and percussionist Adam Basore and bassist Karl Tellefsen by early 1994. In middle-1994, the industrial-rock music group agreed upon with Re-Constriction and started focus on their debut. The self-titled record was released another year.
