Biography
Kiki Dee kicked around Britain like a white colored soul vocalist for the better area of the past due ’60s and early ’70s — even becoming the very first Uk Caucasian signed to Motown — before starting up with Elton John, who signed her to his Rocket Information label and produced her 1st notable strike, “I’ve Got the Music in Me personally.” In 1976, of which period John was the largest pop star on the planet, he had written and duetted with Dee for the solitary “Don’t Proceed Breaking My Center,” which quickly topped the graphs all around the globe. It didn’t, nevertheless, make Dee a long-term celebrity, though she obtained several subsequent strikes in Britain and considered the stage with some achievement, specifically by starring in Bloodstream Brothers in the Western End. In 1993, she and John documented another duet, on Cole Porter’s “REAL LOVE” (previously documented like a duet by Bing Crosby and Elegance Kelly).

I never wanted to be a big star - I never wanted all that. But it was I always was being pushed into. All I ever cared about - and it holds true today - was putting out some music that was really good. |
