Kids on a Crime Spree

Inspired with a fateful nights hearing Phil Spector’s deep slashes at a friend’s home in Stockholm, Sweden, Mario Hernandez (formerly of Ciao Bella as well as the mastermind behind the like-minded indie pop task From Bubblegum to Sky) teamed up with drummer Becky Barrons (From Bubblegum to Sky, #poundsign#, and Scrabbel), and guitarist Costs Evans (From Bubblegum to Sky) to create Kids on the Crime Spree in the first 2000s. Sketching on the deceptive simpleness of Spector’s pop music, and adding a big assisting of distortion and shambling acoustic guitar function (Teenage Fanclub, the Pastels, and Dark Tambourine are good touchstones right here), it’s small question the group discovered themselves on Slumberland Information’ roster immediately after the lineup solidified. Children on a Criminal offense Spree’s debut recording, We Like You SO VERY BAD, was slated for launch on Slumberland Information in-may 2011. The music group was scheduled to try out sponsor of high-profile gigs to get the recording, including both NEW YORK and SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA editions of Popfest.
