Biography

The original music of Vietnam is preserved by Ho Khic Chi, a grasp from the one-stringed zither, dan bau, and his music group, The Khac Chi Outfit. Using traditional Vietnamese devices and performing traditional music, the group produces a haunting, rhythmic, audio. Touring internationally since 1982, the group presently resides in Vancouver, Canada. Furthermore to Ho Khic Chi, the ensemble features Hoang Ngoc Bich (vocals, arranger, k’longput (percussive pipes), t’rung (suspended bamboo xylophone) and tam thap luc (hammered dulcimer)) , Le To Quyen (vocals), Nguyen Hoai Chau (percussion) and Randy Reine-Reusch (history vocals, khen become and sinh tien).
