Keziah Jones

Biography

A Nigerian-born rocker heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix and Fela Kuti, Keziah Jones gained reputation in Britain and France with singles like “Tempo Is Like” and “Beautiful Emile.” Jones was delivered to a boarding college in London when he was eight, and he began busking within the London Underground when he is at his teenagers. He gigged up a surprise in Covent Backyard and Portobello Street, which resulted in his breakthrough by supervisor Phil Pickett. One bassist (Phil “Spirit” Sewell), one drummer (Richie Stevens), and several gigs afterwards, Jones discovered himself along with his initial album, Blufunk Is certainly an undeniable fact!, in 1992. Many even more albums ensued on the following 15 years (African Space Build, Liquid Sunlight, and Dark Orpheus included in this), repairing Jones among the even more prominent blues-rock music artists on the Western european music picture in the past due ’90s and early 2000s.
