Keystone Trio

A supergroup of types, the Keystone Trio came collectively when jazz veterans John Hicks (piano), George Mraz (bass), and Idris Muhammad (drums) were recruited to back again Archie Shepp on the 1995 day. The trio meshed therefore well which they made a decision to record independently, debuting like a device in 1996 with Center Beats. Following recordings included 1997’s Newklear Music: The Tunes of Sonny Rollins and 1998’s Solid!, the second option a quartet day with saxophonist Eric Alexander.
