Kevin Max

Often regarded as the eccentric, attention-seeking person in the CCM trio DC Talk, Kevin Max was raised beyond Grand Rapids, MI. Previously referred to as Kevin Smith, music performed a vital component in his formative years. Potential started performing at age four and remembers “getting carted around to academic institutions, churches, and radio applications.” He went to university at Virginia’s Liberty School, where he fulfilled fellow DC Chat associates Toby McKeehan and Michael Tait. The three produced the music group in 1987, merging the varieties of rock and roll, pop, and rap to make their unique audio. Following the trio transferred to Nashville, TN, they released their self-titled record in 1989. The discharge was accompanied by Nu Thang in 1990, Totally free finally in 1992, and Jesus Freak in 1995.
