A talented pianist, Kevin Hays was raised in Connecticut and started lessons when he was seven. He produced his documenting debut with Nick Brignola; toured using the Harper Brothers (1989-1990); and caused Joshua Redman, Benny Golson, Donald Harrison, Roy Haynes, and Joe Henderson, amongst others. Kevin Hays documented three albums with Bob Belden, and in 1994 trim his initial record being a leader, Seventh Feeling (Blue Take note).
