b. New Zealand. Thought to be one of is own continent’s leading guitarists, Borich found prominence in Australia with the brand new Zealand music group La De Das in 1976. Following a tour of the united kingdom in 1980, many members left, departing Borich as business lead guitarist within a trio that he ultimately renamed the Kevin Borich Express. The Express gained a reputation among the hardest-working groupings in the united states, touring and playing incessantly. His design was inspired by Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower, though his electric guitar work frequently overshadowed his normal vocals and songwriting. On record, his talents weren’t sufficiently explored, although his electric guitar playing in the La De Das’ edition of ‘All Across the Watchtower’ was exemplary. An participation with the greatly popular Party Guys cover band resulted in the dissolution of his music group in 1983.
