Kerkko Koskinen

Kerkko Koskinen (given birth to January 7, 1973, in Espoo, Finland) is a reluctant celebrity of Finnish popular music. He was the bandleader, songwriter, pianist and important founding person in the popular music group, Ultra Bra, before getting into his solo profession. Ultra Bra was created in 1994 to be able to perform inside a track contest sponsored from the Democratic Youngsters Union of Finland. In the beginning regarded as a lark by student-intellectuals, the music group made a decision to continue producing music after earning your competition. Their 1st EP, Houkutusten kiihottava maku (“The Fascinating Taste of Temptations”), premiered in 1995 and, immediately after, the music group was signed from the main Johanna label. Their 1st album, Vapaaherran unämää (“Existence of a free of charge Lord”), premiered in 1996 and was chosen the recording of the entire year by at least one important music publication. Koskinen composed all of the tunes and performed on keyboards. Their second recording bought from triple-platinum numbers, and the 3rd and fourth adopted match. The group disbanded in the elevation of its recognition in 2001, and Koskinen started his solo profession the following 12 months, almost concurrently to Scandinavian GROUP, which was created by four additional users of Ultra Bra. His 2002 debut recording, Rakkaus viiltää (“Like cuts”), featured several likeminded celebrities and was quickly bought by followers looking to get more from the Ultra Bra audio. Koskinen experienced flirted with soundtrack structure previously, but plunged involved with it headfirst immediately after the initial album premiered. He gained the Finnish “Oscar” comparable in 2003, the Jussi-Award, for greatest original tune for the film “Nousukausi.” His sophomore record, Lolita, implemented in 2005 to middling testimonials and lukewarm product sales. Musically it continued to be interesting, if not really masterful, but merging the traditional poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca yet others with an eighties pop audio was perhaps sick advised. Koskinen hasn’t been revered for his vocal abilities, therefore his third record, Agatha (2007), which he constructed and organized for the UMO Jazz Orchestra, was therefore perhaps the greatest move Koskinen could possess made. Inspired with the writings of Agatha Christie, it had been an engaging, if relatively derivative, slide in to the spy-jazz circles inhabited by such experts as Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini.
