Kenny Håkansson

Not very popular to a larger target audience, Kenny Håkansson has earned respect among music artists as you of Sweden’s finest rock and roll guitarists. In the ’70s, he performed acoustic guitar in Kebnekajse, probably the main music group in creating Swedish folk-rock, and in the first ’80s, he performed in the rock-reggae music group Dag Vag. The few single albums Håkansson released haven’t gained the same interest as the rings he was an associate of and also have mainly built on a single musical floor as Kebnekajse. Håkansson in addition has worked like a program musician, backing several well-known performers, including Pugh Rogefeldt, Bo Hansson, Cornelis Vreeswijk, and Lisa Ekdal. Håkansson was created in Stockholm in 1945. While going to grammar college, he performed in an area brass music group. In the ’60s, he discovered to play your guitar and, after several minor band tasks, he became a member of the blues music group T-Bones for two single produces. In 1967, this music group changed into Baby Grandmothers, affected from the psychedelic influx. After conference bandleader Mecki Bodemark in 1968, Håkansson was recruited to his Mecki Tag Men. In 1979, Håkansson became a member of the rock-reggae music group Dag Vag, acquiring the stage name Beno Zeno and using them until 1982, when he released his second single record, Benos Ben. Håkansson, or Zeno, continuing to try out with Dag Vag sometimes through the ’80s, but focused foremost in the much less well-known Expenses Boogie Music group, led by Costs ?-hrström and including Bosse Skoglund, Hasse Larsson, and Jukka Tolonen. In the ’90s, Håkansson continuing his career being a program musician among gigs using the reunited Dag Vag and, in 1994, he became a member of the backing music group for vocalist/songwriter Lisa Ekdahl right before she got her big break. Håkansson used her for four years and in addition released the single recording 2117 M.?-.H. in 1995. Once again, he took motivation from traditional Swedish folk music, but this time around he published the tunes himself. The name of the recording identifies the elevation of the best hill in Sweden, which is called Kebnekajse. In 2001, Håkansson released his 4th single recording, Hjärtats Gåtbok. It got combined reviews, but drawn more curiosity than his ’90s recording, and was uncommon for Håkansson in using a concentrate set around the vocals instead of on your guitar.
