b. 1935, Newton, Mississippi, USA, d. June 1995. Aka Prez Kenneth, as a young child Kidd sang in the cathedral choir but was also drawn to the blues. He resolved in Chicago in 1956 and shortly tried to understand electric guitar, switching to bass because he discovered it less complicated. In the 60s, Kidd documented within a Jimmy Reed vein for the Biscayne label. His monitor ‘Devil Coping’ was the prototype for G.L. Crockett’s strike ‘It’s A GUY Down There’, but he received no credit.
