Ken Peplowski

Biography

Among the best clarinetists from the 1990s and an extremely talented tenor participant, Ken Peplowski offers helped keep carefully the custom of small-group golf swing (and occasionally Dixieland) alive. He produced his professional debut at ten and performed locally in Cleveland. After spending 1978-1980 touring using the Tommy Dorsey ghost orchestra (aimed by Friend Morrow), Peplowski resolved in NY, freelanced in a number of settings, and used Benny Goodman. By 1987, he was a Concord designer and it has since documented frequently for your label, support Mel Tormé and Rosemary Clooney, and leading his personal sets including excellent duets with guitarist Howard Alden.
