Ken Lazarus

Biography

Lazarus began his profession in the inception of ska in the first 60s. He performed business lead vocals for Byron Lee AS WELL AS THE Dragonaires, playing on travels of the Western world Indies and THE UNITED STATES. In 1965, acknowledged as performing using the Byron Lee Orchestra, he relished his initial taste of worldwide popularity when ‘Crazy’ premiered through Island Information in the united kingdom. He also performed within an idiosyncratic, neglected Jamaican rock-band, Tomorrow’s Kids. His sporadic result resulted in several releases of take note, although in 1971 he taken care of a higher profile with ‘Young lady’ as well as the bewildering ‘Tomorrow’s Kids’. Although Lazarus’ produces had been erratic he worked well within the studios as an arranger, maker and songwriter. In 1972, like a performer, he guaranteed a one-single agreement with a significant label for the discharge of ‘Hail The Guy’, but didn’t satisfy the business’s expectations. From the 90s, having relocated to California, he became a member of Pluto and Ernie Smith on a little isle tour. The jaunt was to market his solo launch, Reflections, which presented Lazarus’ exclusive renditions of reggae classics like the Maytals’ ‘Peeping Tom’, Ken Boothe’s ‘Independence Road’ and Jimmy Cliff’s ‘Amazing World, Gorgeous People’.
