Vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Keller Williams generally is a one-man jam music group. His fascinating concert events feature him single on-stage having a Gibson Echoplex Digital Pro looping device, and he produces his support loops in as soon as, building and improvising as he continues on his custom-made ten-string acoustic guitar, and because of his just as quirky, upbeat, and semi-surreal tunes (which he regularly weaves into prolonged, half-improvised medleys) and his warm, friendly tenor performing voice, Williams can be an absolutely exclusive performer whose musical eccentricities don’t maintain him from becoming immediately available. A indigenous of Virginia, Williams received his 1st acoustic guitar at age three, although he admits he didn’t actually figure out how to play it until he was in his early teenagers. He attended senior high school in his hometown of Fredericksburg, and started playing single gigs when he was 17. He found out the new age group acoustic guitar genius of Michael Hedges a 12 months later on, and Hedges is a lifelong impact on Williams’ method of a guitar. Carrying out a stint at university (he went to Virginia Wesleyan University in Virginia Seaside from 1988 to 1991, majoring in movie theater) and regular gigs in his hometown area, he self-released a debut record, Freek, in 1994. Williams relocated to Colorado the next year, and it had been there where he fulfilled the members from the intensifying bluegrass music group String Cheese Occurrence on the Telluride Bluegrass Celebration. Williams finished up touring together as an starting action in 1997 and once again in 1998. Another solo album, Hype, premiered in 1996. Williams ultimately agreed upon to String Mozzarella cheese Incident’s label, SCI Fidelity, and released Spun in 1998. Extremely prolific, Williams provides released almost an album per year since on SCI, all with one-word game titles. Breathe made an appearance in 1999, Loop in 2001, Have a good laugh in 2002, Dance and House in 2003, Stage in 2004, as well as the Dvd movie View in 2005. Lawn (acknowledged to Keller & the Keels) made an appearance in 2006 and Wish in 2007. In Dec of 2007 he released his 12th Compact disc, a compilation properly titled 12. Unusual found its way to 2009, followed this year 2010 by Thief (using the Keels) and Children, the latter which symbolized Keller’s first formal foray into children’s music. Bass premiered in 2011, implemented in 2012 by Get, a collaboration using the Travelin’ McCourys. Endlessly innovative, innovative, and fun, Williams is certainly a fascinating musician, and his relatively wacky undertake the planet and his amazing and eccentric electric guitar abilities make him a relaxing performer.
