Keito

Keito combines Nikki Colk’s feathery vocals, the increase electric guitar (Colk and Dave Lake) wall structure of sound of Goo- and Dirty-era Sonic Youth, wigged-out electronic beeps, and loopy gaming effects. Keito produced in Norwich, U.K., in 1996 with Nikki Colk on electric guitar and vocals, Dave Lake on electric guitar, Gemma Cullingford on bass and Diata Quantrill playing drums. The music group begun to gain a pursuing using a string of 7″ singles released in the label Vibrations In the Advantage of Sanity including Sandpaper Shuffle in 1998, Catnap, Who’eeowee, and 60 Second Popstar in 1999, a divide one with Cato in 2000, and Thwipside in 2001. The singles received nationwide Radio One airplay from Steve Lamacq and John Peel off and Keito was shown among the Course of ’99 in Record Collector Newspaper. Their full-length debut, You’ve Seen Us…YOU’LL WANT Seen Us…, comprising new material aswell simply because re-recordings of prior singles, was made by Owen Turner from the renowned Magoo and released in 2001.
