Katherine Ciesinski

Katherine Ciesinski is a respected American mezzo-soprano. Her family members was musical; her sister, Kristine, is normally a soprano. Both young ladies grew up to become internationally-known opera headliners. She’s frequently made an appearance in recital and concert, and on leading opera phases in america and European countries, including regular looks in the Metropolitan Opera, the Houston Grand Opera, with the Stuttgart Opera, Canadian Opera, Royal Opera Home Covent Backyard (London), Scottish Opera, SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Opera, and Dallas Opera. She’s made several recordings on brands including Decca-London, Music Experts, BMG, Bridge, CRI, Leonarda, Orion, Erato, and Columbia, of a multitude of composers including Weill, Blitzstein, Carter, Alma Mahler, Handel, Clara Schumann, Gounod, Wagner, Stravinsky, Bussotti, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Dukas, Rorem, and Spohr. She’s devoted a growing quantity of her profession to teaching, previously on the School of Houston, Tx, with Eastman since 2008.
