Kat Reinhert

New York-based singer/songwriter Kat Reinhert is definitely a jazz and classically trained vocalist whose music often straddles the line between jazz and pop. A indigenous of Wisconsin, Reinhert 1st researched jazz at Lawrence College or university before relocating to NY in 1996, where she gained her Bachelor of Music through the Manhattan College of Music. In 2005 she shifted yet again, this time around to Florida, where she gained an M.M. in Jazz Pedagogy through the College or university of Miami. After graduating, Reinhert came back to NY, where she started performing jazz frequently with her group offering guitarist Perry Smith, bassist Sam Minaie, and drummer Ross Pederson. Her self-produced debut recording of all-original materials, Chrysalis, appeared in ’09 2009. In 2015 Reinhert came back with two albums: Spark, which showcased her unique compositions; and House Movies, a assortment of jazz specifications and reworked pop tracks by Neil Adolescent, Foo Fighters, while others.
