Kasai Allstars, a Congolese collective made up of music artists, singers, and dancers from five different rings, were showcased over the Congotronics series released with the label Crammed Discs. Located in Kinshasa, the administrative centre town of the Democratic Republic from the Congo, Kasai Allstars contains music artists from the rings Luscombe Madimba, Tandjolo, Dibua Dietu, Basokin, and Masanka Sankayi, a few of whom made an appearance over the 2006 collection Congotronics 2: Buzz’n’Rumble within the Urb’n’Jungle. Kasai Allstars produced their full-length record debut in 2008 over the epically entitled third installment from the Congotronics series, Within the 7th Moon, THE PRINCIPLE CONVERTED INTO a Swimming Seafood and Ate the top of His Foe by Magic. This year 2010, Crammed released the compilation Tradi-Mods vs. Rockers, which highlighted rock and roll and indie performers such as Pet Collective, Deerhoof, and Juana Molina reworking, remixing, and reinterpreting music by Kasai Allstars, in addition to their Congotronics peers Konono No 1. The collection resulted in a collaborative tour the next year, which discovered members from the Allstars executing at various celebrations in a big group with a number of the “rockers” who added to the compilation. Some years would move prior to the ensemble came back with an effective album of their very own, collecting their power once again in 2014 for the expansive collection Beware the Fetish. The sprawling record, produced, documented, and blended by Congotronics founder Vincent Kenis jammed a lot more than 100 a few minutes into simply 12 tracks.
