Karin Krog

An adventurous singer who’s quite versatile, Karin Krog can sing anything from standards to fairly free of charge improvisations. She produced her documenting debut in 1964, made an appearance at many jazz celebrations in European countries in the middle-’60s, and in 1967, found the U.S., executing and recording using the Don Ellis Orchestra and Clare Fischer’s trio. A global traveler located in European countries, Krog has documented fairly steadily over time, using such sidemen as Kenny Drew, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, Jan Garbarek, Ted Curson, Dexter Gordon, Palle Mikkelborg, Steve Kuhn, Steve Swallow, Archie Shepp, Bengt Hallberg, and John Surman; she’s made information for Philips, Sonet, Polydor, as well as other European labels.
