Years before Maroon 5 topped the Billboard graphs using the platinum-selling Tracks About Jane, nearly all its people were performing under a different moniker: Kara’s Bouquets. Founded in LA in Sept 1995, Kara’s Bouquets quickly set up itself as a favorite hometown draw, creating a pursuing of loyal enthusiasts while its people had been still in senior high school. Classmates Adam Levine (vocals, electric guitar), Jesse Carmichael (electric guitar), Mickey Madden (bass), and Ryan Dusick (drums) got yet to come across the neo-soul that could make Maroon 5 such successful, but their hook-laden pop music nevertheless caught the interest of Reprise Details, who agreed upon the quartet and delivered them in to the studio room with legendary manufacturer Rob Cavallo (Green Day time, Goo Goo Dolls, Michelle Branch).
