This expansive UK disco and soul group came together in 1976 comprising members from two previous soul bands: Hot Wax (who continued to be Hi Tension) and 70% Proof. These were agreed upon to Mickie Many’s RAK Information label and he also created their recordings. Their debut ‘Don’t Wanna State Goodnight’ was a strike in 1978 which was accompanied by three even more charting singles, like the amount 11 strike, ‘I Don’t Wanna Lose You’ (1979). The line-up from the music group was Teeroy (vocals/keyboards), Ferdi (bass), Alex Bruce (percussion), St Lloyd Phillips (drums/vocals), Tamby (electric guitar/vocals), Phil Fearon (electric guitar) and Bob Collins (percussion/vocals). Of the, only Fearon got any further graph achievement after Kandidate divide. He constructed his own documenting studio and got a string of strikes in the middle-80s under his very own name as well as the group name Galaxy.
