K Sridhar and K Shivakumar

Both brothers (the family name is given first in India) K Sridhar (b. India; sarod) and K Shivakumar (b. India; violin) are experts of their chosen devices. They possess each perfected Hindustani and Carnatic playing – India’s two primary musical customs. Twelve decades of their family members were musicians so that as kids the brothers analyzed beneath the renowned Indian designer, Usted Zia Mohiuddin Dagar. Through the entire 80s Sridhar toured the globe and used musicians of additional designs, including jazz and flamenco. The brothers’ 1st major performances collectively had been at two WOMAD celebrations of 1988 at Toronto, Canada and Bracknell in Britain. They were became a member of by percussionist GS Sabri (tabla) and Camilla Hale (tampura). Shringar combines two half-hour ragas from each concert.
