Jutta Hipp

Jutta Hipp had a strangely short career, dropping from music altogether soon after emigrating to america. She analyzed painting in Germany and performed jazz during Globe War II. Once the Soviets required over East Germany, she relocated with her family members to Munich. Hipp performed locally and in 1952, documented with Hans Koller. She led her personal quintet in Frankfurt in 1953-1955 and documented for several brands, including a program which was later on released by Blue Notice. Moving to NY in November 1955, Hipp performed in the Hickory Home for a lot of the first 1 / 2 of 1956, documenting two trio albums for Blue Notice.
