Just Surrender

Emo-rocking pop-punk act Just Surrender shaped in 2003, originally dubbed ANOTHER Possibility. The group sprang up around high-school buddies bassist/vocalist Jason Maffucci, guitarist Andrew Meunier, and drummer Steve Miller prior to the visit a ideal fourth member ultimately ended by adding guitarist/vocalist Dan Simons. Structured away from Dover Plains, NY, the staff documented a four-song EP with manufacturer John Naclerio (COMPLETELY NEW, Senses Fail), and within a few months of publishing some music online, their music acquired logged nearly half of a million listens and their tradeoff vocals gained the band evaluations to Taking Back again Weekend. As gigs at the opportunity Theater in close by Poughkeepsie were consistently getting visibly larger, fellow New Yorkers Autopilot Off had taken see and brought the youthful group from tour. This quickly resulted in other higher-profile displays with rings like Bayside, Hawthorne Heights, Matchbook Love, the first November, and much more. In March 2005, ANOTHER Possibility inked a cope with Broken British Information — co-owned by Naclerio and Autopilot Off’s Chris Hughes — and transformed their name to Simply Surrender (because of trademark problems) immediately after. Their full-length and label debut, If These Roads Could Talk, premiered in July 2005 and the most common rounds of touring commenced. Meunier parted methods with Simply Surrender in early 2007.
