June Millington

Back 1969, when June Millington began her profession as business lead guitarist for Fanny — a mainstream all-female music group — she recognized that mainstream music was generally inaccessible to females. Through the five years in the 1970s when Fanny had been active, few females had produced significant mainstream rock and roll recordings. Through four effective albums with Warner Bros. (Fanny, Charity Ball, Fanny Hill, and Mother’s Satisfaction), June Millington and Fanny offered notice towards the rock and roll world that ladies could do more than merely sing: that ladies could also compose and play rock and roll & move passionately.
