The son from the renowned New York-born French chanson star Joe Dassin and photographer Christine Delvaux, singer and actor Julien Dassin found fame because of several projects celebrating his family’s legacy. Delivered in 1980, simply half a year before Joe passed away of a coronary attack in Tahiti, he was raised studying the influence his father acquired on French lifestyle and, keen to research additional, he teamed up with movie director Christophe Barratier in 2011 to create the musical Il Etait une Fois…Joe Dassin, a forward thinking creation that featured both his biggest strikes and previously unreleased materials. A year afterwards he caused co-star Florence Coste on Monsieur Montand, a tribute record to his grandfather Jules’ good friend Yves Montand, that was released in the 20th wedding anniversary of his loss of life.
