Julie Rogers

b. Julie Rolls, 6 Apr 1943, London, Britain. She still left her Bermondsey supplementary college in 1959 for an extended working holiday being a dancer in Spain. Next, she proved helpful being a secretary and a dispatch’s stewardess just before becoming singer using a middle-of-the-road music group led by Teddy Foster with whom she afterwards functioned within a cabaret duo, and, under a fresh stage surname, produced a radio debut in 1962 over the BBC Light Program’s Music USING A Defeat. Pursuing an audition for Philips A & R supervisor Johnny Franz, she documented her first one ‘It’s Magic’, in 1963. Her documenting career handled its zenith the next calendar year when ‘The Wedding ceremony’ – an orchestrated translation of the melody (by Argentinian Joaquin Prieto) which she acquired first noticed in Spain – increased to some UK #3 3, set off by a short plug within the ITV tv regional magazine, DAILY.
