Similar to Sigur Rós, Dntel, and M83, Vancouver, Canada’s Julian Fane makes roomy, atmospheric music that blurs the boundaries between electronica and dream pop. The vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/programmer performed using the music group Waikiki and produced experimental electronic parts beneath the monikers Aardvark User interface and Taoist Blockade, but acquired a full-time work as a time investor on NASDAQ, which he ultimately quit to spotlight his music. After putting your signature on to Globe Mu, he released the debut record Special Makes in fall 2004.
