Julián Aguirre

Aguirre received his education in the Madrid Conservatory. In 1886 he came back to Argentina and founded himself like a pianist. He ultimately resolved in Buenos Aires where he performed an important part in the music of the town. His compositions, mainly for tone of voice or little instrumental ensembles, are created inside a nationalist design that utilizes Creole melodies. He gained a reputation among the most appreciated Argentinian composers of his period.
