Los Angeles-based hardcore quartet Jughead’s Revenge — aka Jugg’s Revenge carrying out a lawsuit on the music group name from Archie Comics — have already been delivering their very own make of speedy punk on / off since 1989. Their initial few releases had been independently Hard record label, including Unstuck with time, their debut LP. Another early LP, It’s Unhappy in the bottom, was re-released in 1994 on BYO Information, which will be their local record label of preference for quite some time. The music group, which contains vocalist Joe Doherty, guitarist Joey Rimicci, bassist Brian Preiss, and drummer Jarrod Thornton, would discharge many albums for BYO, including Eradication in 1993 and 1995’s 13 Kiddie Favorites, all offering the same natural punk audio, unsullied with the glam rock and roll that was extremely popular in L.A. at that time. In 1996, they jumped dispatch to Nitro Information, which released Picture Can be Everything in 1996 and Pearly Gates in 1999, the last mentioned just before the final outcome from the Archie Comics lawsuit. The music group embarked on a farewell tour in past due 2000 and early 2001 before splitting up, but returned together in ’09 2009 to celebrate its 20th season anniversary.
