Juanito Valderrama

b. Juan Valderrama Blanca, 24 Might 1916, Torredelcampo, Jaén, Spain, d. 12 Apr 2004, Espartinas, Seville, Spain. Elevated in rural Andalucia, Valderrama noticed flamenco from years as a child and in his early teenagers he was adopted by vocalist Niña de la Puebla, with whom he sang in Madrid in 1935. Through the Spanish Civil Battle he performed for military and also produced records, afterwards establishing himself in the flamenco picture. He constructed some 300 music, often in cooperation along with his regular accompanist Un Niño Ricardo; these included ‘De Polizón’ and ‘Madre Hermosa’.
