Joyce DiCamillo

Joyce DiCamillo is really a swinging yet lyrical and melodic pianist that has been dynamic on the East Coastline jazz scene because the 1970s. DiCamillo was created and elevated in Stamford, CT near NY, and she’s resided in Southern Connecticut the majority of her existence. In 1981, she created the Joyce DiCamillo Trio with bassist Rick Petrone and drummer Joe Corsello–a threesome was still collectively in the past due 1990s. Though her trio performed regularly within the 1980s, it wasn’t before 1990s it documented any albums. DiCamillo’s 1st album like a leader, Some Jazz, was documented in 1994, accompanied by 1996’s Freelancin’ (which united her trio with tenor saxman Houston Person), 1998’s Instant to Instant and 1999’s Like Letters. The middle-1990s discovered DiCamillo performing some work beyond the jazz field and support Donna Summer on the tour from the U.S. and Latin America.
