Modern Christian synth pop group Pleasure Electric may be the brainchild of Orange State, CA, indigenous Ronnie Martin, formerly of Rainbow Rider and Dance Home Children (which also included his sibling, Jason Martin, of Starflyer 59). Originally conceived being a single task for Martin, Pleasure Electric highlighted bouncy pop tracks with spiritual and whimsical lyrics established to special synthesizer melodies. The group debuted with 1994’s Melody on Tooth & Toe nail Records, among the leading 3rd party Christian record brands, and house to Christian indie rock and roll rings Velour 100 and MxPx. Melody and 1995’s Five Superstars for Failing EP were documented with samplers, synthesizers, and drum devices, but on 1996’s WE HAVE BEEN the Music Manufacturers Martin turned to only using analog synths for many melody and percussion parts. Following the discharge of 1997’s Aged Wives Stories remix EP, Pleasure Electric powered added the band’s supervisor and keyboardist, Jeff Cloud, as the official person in the group. That 12 months also saw the discharge from the band’s most widely used album yet, Automatic robot Rock. Immediately after, the group added another member, Caleb Mannann, and relocated to the BEC record label. As developing interest from your secular music picture put into an already solid Christian following, Pleasure Electric continued getting followers with 1998’s The Property of Misfits EP and the next year’s Kids of god, the father EP and CHRISTIANsongs recording. With their responsibilities in Joy Electric powered, Cloud continued to perform his Velvet Blue record label and advertising business, while Martin founded his personal electronica label, the aptly called Plastiq Musiq. 2001 noticed the unveiling from the White colored Songbook: Legacy, Vol. 1, a high-concept synth rock and roll album that demonstrated the developing ambitions of Pleasure Electric. The next year, a assortment of fresh and old tunes called The Artwork and Build of Well-known Music premiered. But Martin wasn’t completed, no sir. In 2003 the prolific synth maestro released the clickety pop, glitchy sweetness from the Tick Tock Treasury LP, implemented a year afterwards with the chillier traditionalist synth pop from the Friend of Mannequin EP and Hello, Mannequin full-length. Martin also discovered time and energy to tour Christian celebrations and develop Shepherd, an experimental electric guitar side task. The fourth quantity within the Legacy series, The Ministry of Archers, arrived the following season, associated with an EP, Montgolfier as well as the Passionate Balloons. Both albums had been produced in the recently revamped Electric Pleasure Toy Company studio room. The 5th and last Legacy recording, The Otherly Opus, found its way to 2007. It had been adopted in 2008 by My Grandfather, the Cubist.
