Joshua Weilerstein

American conductor and violinist Joshua Weilerstein may be the product of the musical family, which include his father, violinist Donald Weilerstein, his mom, pianist Vivian Hornik Weilerstein, and his sister, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, who perform together as the Weilerstein Trio. A Boston indigenous, Weilerstein started his career soon after earning the Malko Competition for Youthful Conductors in Copenhagen, which resulted in a scheduled appointment as helper conductor of the brand new York Philharmonic. While dealing with that orchestra, Weilerstein participated in Teen People’s Concerts, and in addition offered as concert professional of the Breakthrough Outfit, a chamber orchestra located in Boston that works together with inner-city academic institutions.
