Joseph

Named after a little town in northeast Oregon, indie folk respond Joseph includes a trio of sisters who hail from Portland. Eldest sister Natalie Closner originally began touring being a single vocalist/songwriter before recruiting youthful twin sisters Meegan and Allison to create a proper music group. Using their bewitching close harmonies and advanced yet rustic appear, they keep a resemblance to likewise minded sister works like Sweden’s MEDICAL Kit and British trio the Staves. Their debut recording, Local, Dreamer, Kin, premiered in early 2014. In a short time, they were contacted by Dave Matthews’ ATO Information, who authorized Joseph in 2015. After co-writing a few of their fresh materials with Ethan Gruska (the Belle Brigade) in LA, they going to Omaha to record their label debut with maker Mike Mogis (Conor Oberst, Jenny Lewis). Released in the summertime of 2016, I’m Only, No YOU ARE NOT expanded for the band’s folk-inspired audio, introducing lush fresh pop textures.
