Joseph-Hector Fiocco

Operating under his brother’s path in the royal chapel, Joseph-Hector resigned the post to be master from the chapel in Antwerp Cathedral. Fiocco was an organist, harpsichordist and composer who had written several motets, numerous items for the Cathedral and a assortment of harpsichord functions. The latter includes suites with pretentious game titles in the style of Couperin although affectations aren’t very clear. Fiocco’s music consists of French influences in conjunction with persuasions of Handel and Vivaldi.
