Joseph Aloys Schmittbaur

This German composer’s greatest claim to fame are available in his conducting, extension of the number from the glass harmonic, and his mass for the Dreikonigfest of 1776 in Cologne. Schmittbaur was an harpsichordist, Konzertmeister, Kapellmeister and Oberkapellmeister who offered for the Rastatt courtroom, the Karlsruhe courtroom, and in Cologne. A lot of his functions show the impact of various other composers just like the serenatas “L’isola disabitat” and “Endymion” which respectively reveal Jommelli and Gluck and his six quartets for flute and strings that have been originally related to Haydn.
